Petah-Tikva, Israel, April 25, 2006 – Civcom® (www.civcom.com), a leading technology developer and manufacturer of Opto-electronic components, modules and sub-systems today announced reduction in costs of its 10Gbps Ultra Long Reach (ULR) line of transponders to complement the market prices of Long Reach (LR) transponders. Civcom’s achievement to lowering development and production costs for ULR Transponders enables the market to bring faster into play the ULR technology.

In an effort to boost market’s response to Ultra Long Reach transponders, Civcom provides lower market price products based on common specifications. Civcom is researching the perfection of its product line, whether it is in developing new platforms or miniaturization of components, integrating more functions, and to enable completely novel products while reducing costs.
