Company History of Civcom Devices & Systems (D&S) Ltd
Civcom was founded in 2000 as a US company in Delaware (Civcom Inc.) with HQ and R&D activities in Israel (Civcom Ltd.) and a sales office recently opened in Pennsylvania. Civcom initial product line was focused on Ultra Fast Optical Switches. In September 2003, Civcom merged with Xlight Photonics who was focusing on 300-PIN Tunable Transponder products for the Telecom market. Since then, the merged company is developing and manufacturing a variety of Tunable transponders and tunable dispersion compensators.
In Early 2008, Civcom Ltd was acquired by Padtec S/A of Brazil. This acquisition started a new phase in the nature of the company, transforming it from a development company to a high volume manufacturing entity.
